Welcome

You've reached the Internet home of Kimra McPherson, a user experience and design researcher, recent graduate of the master's program at UC Berkeley's School of Information, former journalist, and occasional blogger.

Here, you can see my resume and a portfolio of some recent projects. You can also check out some places I write these days:

  • Eating My Mistakes, my newest project, a chronicle of my adventures as a novice cook.
  • All Consuming, occasional ramblings on media from a former TV critic with a foot-high stack of magazines by my bed.
  • The Wary Adventurer, in which this reformed wimp writes about forays into rock climbing, hiking, travel, and other escapades.
  • Twice Baked, a bicoastal baking blog I co-author with a good friend across the country.

Want to know more about me? You're welcome to follow me on Twitter, check out my recent Flickr uploads, or connect with me on LinkedIn. Other questions? Send 'em my way.

In a Nutshell

Kimra McPherson is a user experience and design researcher with a background in journalism and a passion for entertainment and media. She holds a master's degree from the School of Information at UC Berkeley and a bachelor's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. When she's not doing research, she's most likely gabbing about television, learning how to pickle vegetables, or baking something delicious.
